Incoming: Outsiders

I’ve been working on something a little different recently, a magazine/film/photography project that may involve an online platform… To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what it is yet, but it’s been amazing to see it grow.

Over the past months I have been collaborating with some truly inspiring people, interviewing and photographing their lifestyles and practices. The plan is to create thought provoking articles and inspire more meaningful connections with the outdoors. I’ve been chatting with a bunch of lovely women about their work, hobbies and lives spent in the natural world.

My first contributor is the wonderful Jodi, an ecologist and wild swimmer from East England.

In October, Jodi met with me to talk about her passion for the outdoors and how she continues to seek the natural world in her everyday life. We spoke about the community of outdoor folk, wild swimming and where this passion stems from.

In the process of working with the lovely Jodi, we decided to make a short film about her affinity for the cold water.

Articles and photos to follow.

Call me old school, but I love the feel of print. There is something satisfying about turning a page or folding a corner. So, although this project is looking likely to be an online platform for the time being, I hope it will be possible to print this journal in the future. Keep an eye out!
